The Academy offers a four-part Lecture Series covering the basics of debating and public speaking. The program is designed to target students in Years 6 - 8. The Lecture Series is delivered by former and current debaters - our Regional Instructors - who know their material and are prepared to cater our educational assets to each student to maximise the learning experience.

Each Lecture goes for roughly one hour and covers some element of debating theory, preparing students for actual debate in the Tournament Series and beyond. The sessions are ordered such that students are introduced to the most elementary skills first, before being exposed to more complex and nuanced theories and ideas later on in the program.
